Has there been movies that you find with each repeated viewing it simply gets better and better? Of course there's movies I loved from the the first time I seen it, and though I may have since then seen it numerous times I still find it every bit as good. I will give three examples. Pulp Fiction, The Shawshank Redemption and Casablanca all are movies I loved from the very first viewing. If I were to see any of those 3 today I would still love them. But what about movies you didn't love ...
Will Ferrell and his writing partner Adam McKay have launched a new site a few weeks ago. FunnyOrDie.com is a comedy video site. Anyone can upload any video clip they find funny. Kinda like YouTube, but the only difference will be your clip will be rated by viewers. Viewers will either find it funny or it will die. Too many negative reviews and it will be banished. I think they have a section for the rejected videos. The first homemade video on there is done by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay...
The Definitive 200 is a list developed by the National Association of Recording Merchandisers. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame released the list to distinguish this diverse collection of music's most popular and influential albums. It what they they think should be in everyone's collection. Out of the 200, how many do you own? How many do you want? How many would you never own? How many would you wouldn't take even if they were a gift? Which are you favorites? What albums that aren't ...
It seems like every band is reuniting this year, which is great for some music fans or, in some cases, not so good. All of them will tour this year, with some of them releasing new material. Here are some of the groups. The Police, Genesis, Rage Against The Machine, Smashing Pumpkins, The Stooges, The Pixies, Crowded House and Jesus & Mary Chain. If I'm forgetting any please feel free to tell me. Are you glad any of them are reuniting? Any of them you want to see? I heard The Police and...
Yesterday my GF and I went to the movies. We went to one of those theaters that have all-day bargain matinees. All movies are either $1 or $2, and on Tuesdays they are either .50ยข or $1. A great price to see any movie. I now watch movies I normally wouldn't see until they came out on cable. What I like about it is you can go to the movies and go out to a restaurant for the same price you would spend at the first-run movie theaters. I know these bargain theaters aren't as good as the big m...
There's so many terrific album covers out there. Some great photos. Some great paintings. I like a lot of them, but my favorite is Aerosmith's Toys in the Attic. The reason is back when I was 15 I talked my father into letting me paint 2 walls in my bedroom. Providing I bought the paint with my own money. I decided to paint an album cover on each wall. The first wall I painted I went the easy route. I painted the album cover from "Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd. It turned real nic...
I'm asking who's your favorite. Your favorites who are still living, and your favorites who are no longer living. They don't have to be who you think is the greatest, just ones you like for whatever reason. The only thing I ask is to keep each question to 3 answers or less. I know that's asking alot considering how many fantastic players there really are all there. I had trouble sticking with my own request but I narrowed it down. My 3 favorite guitarists that are no longer with us is:

This article is inspired by my 2 youngest brothers. Anyone who has siblings, especially younger siblings, has been asked to mediate a disagreement or resolve a dispute between them. Normally, when my brothers in question are going at it, their verbal battles are over important matters. For example, their last fight before this one, was over what movie character would you rather be - a Terminator or a vampire - more specifically, T-1000 from "Terminator 2" or Lestat from "Interview From Th...
Are there any better western movies than the ones made in the 60s? Talking about westerns on another article got me wondering about the greatest westerns ever. Well, there are too many to list. Way too many. So I decided to list which decade had the greatest ones. To me, the sixties did. Here is my list. It was too hard to put them in order by which one I like the best, so I listed them by year. If there's any other westerns I forgot from the 60s, that belong in my top ten, then feel...
The other day one of my younger brothers told me he bought a new DVD, the movie "The Goonies" for his 2 daughters. I, of course, laughed telling him he bought the movie more for himself than for my nieces. See, years ago, when my brother first saw "The Goonies" it was a big deal for him. I remember him coming home from the ciniplex with my parents all excited, telling anyone who listened how good it was. I still can see him doing the truffle shuffle. It got me thinking about the first m...
