What Band Would You Like To Reunite?

It seems like every band is reuniting this year, which is great for some music fans or, in some cases, not so good. All of them will tour this year, with some of them releasing new material.
Here are some of the groups. The Police, Genesis, Rage Against The Machine, Smashing Pumpkins, The Stooges, The Pixies, Crowded House and Jesus & Mary Chain. If I'm forgetting any please feel free to tell me.
Are you glad any of them are reuniting? Any of them you want to see? I heard The Police and Genesis are going to keep their concert prices down so that you might be able to go see another band without taking out a second mortgage. Any of the bands you don't wanna see or wish they didn't get back together?
What band would you
love
to see reunite?
I heard there were rumors other bands will reunite before the year is over. Like Van Halen and The Spice Girls. Hey, I told you earlier some might not be good.
What other bands would you like to see get together though you know they will never will unless Hell was to freeze over. Bands like The Smiths or Guns-N-Roses. I know The Smiths will never get together. Morrissey was quoted as saying something like he rather eat his own penis than reunite so I'm guessing him and Johnny Marr aren't on each other' s Christmas card list. He also turned down 5 million dollars recently to reunite.
Tell me what you think, even if you're embarrass to mention what group you wanna see again. I promise I won't laugh or joke at any of your selections. What do I care if you want Wham! or Ace of Base back together again?

Dah, I just noticed I didn't put any groups I would like to see.
I guess I'll put mine later.

Zep. Playing the kinds of stuff they used to play. I know it's kinda not possible (like dead not possible), but still.
Strapping Young Lad. This is still not a for sure break up, but they say they're done. No more albums. Sad.
I'll keep thinking of others.

I'm most excited about Crowded House. I will go see them at some point. The only U.S. tour date on their webiste so far is the Coachella Festival which is already sold out.
I really don't know of any bands that I would love to see get back together. What I really would like is a time machine so I can go back and see them at the beginning of their careers before they get all polished. Some bands stay genuine but most seem to change drastically after they "make it".

Yep, that next plane of existance is a show stopper.
Doors, Cream, CSNY and of Course Zep.

Most of the bands I'd like to see reunite have members who have died; Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Clash, Thin Lizzy and Nirvana. I'd like to see The Specials or Pavement unite and I'm very keen to see The Police when they tour. I'm pretty cynical about a lot of these reformations particularly when the bands in question have made such a big deal out of their 'last and final' tours (Crowded House, anyone?). As for Genesis... bleeeaaaagggghhh... Sorry...

I actually thought Nirvana, too...but I didn't know if it counted since Kurt isn't around anymore. Glad you brought it up.

Good selections, Maso.
That reminds me. You know any good sources for Midnight Oil bootlegs? They so rarely tour in the US (although I did catch them in '93) that you can't find decent stuff of theirs outside their normal album releases here.

San Chonino,
Zep. Playing the kinds of stuff they used to play. I know it's kinda not possible (like dead not possible), but still.
I think if they or Floyd toured they could charge any price for tickets and still sell out. I think it would be possible for both to tour.
Strapping Young Lad. This is still not a for sure break up, but they say they're done. No more albums. Sad.
I bet they're not done. They will be okay after a break. I hope it's not a bad prediction.

How cool would that be. Not only to see them when they were raw, but also because ticket prices would be so low.
Some guy who worked at Boogie Records in Toledo had a ticket stub from a concert he went to in the late 60s. Pink Floyd with Syd Barrett opened up for Jimi Hendrix and the ticket price was $5. Just five dollars! Damn, now 5 dollars is a good price only for surcharges.

There was this one band back in the second century A.D. called the Hungry Huns that I would love to see reunited.

Nothing is embarrassing about Journey. I wonder if Steve Perry will ever do it, though.
Doc,
Doors, Cream, CSNY and of Course Zep.
Other than the Doors I think all those bands could tour again. I think a few years ago The Doors toured with Ian Astbury, the lead singer of the Cult.
Cream did reunite for a few shows at Royal Albert Hall in 2005. I thought they would follow it with a tour, but...
I know CSN are touring this year but no Y.

Mark,

Zeppelin could tour, but not Jimi Hendrix Experience, Thin Lizzy, and Nirvana. The Beatles wouldn't be the Beatles with just Paul and Ringo. I love to see The Clash, but it would be missing so much without Joe Strummer. It would shock me if they ever got back together.
I'd like to see The Specials or Pavement unite and I'm very keen to see The Police when they tour.
I read in several different magazines that Pavement wants to reunite in 2009. If you want to see The Police you better go this tour since I don't see Sting doing it again.

I do find it funny when bands have had more than one 'last and final' tours. But hey even rock stars need extra money.
As for Genesis, does it still get a 'bleeeaaagggghhh' if their fronted by Peter Gabriel??

Actually, I was gonna bash the Genesis reunion until I saw that Peter Gabriel was with them. It is no real reunion without Peter Gabriel!

I wonder what would happen if the remaining members tried to tour with another singer. How funny or crazy would it be if Courtney Love tried to front them??
Mason,

The Hungry Huns reunite every Saturday. I don't know if it's the same band you are talking about but there's a group of women who meet here at Golden Corral every week.

Wow! I didn't know that. They might be worth seeing now. Thanks for the info.
