And Why

There's so many terrific album covers out there. Some great photos. Some great paintings. I like a lot of them, but my favorite is Aerosmith's Toys in the Attic.

The reason is back when I was 15 I talked my father into letting me paint 2 walls in my bedroom. Providing I bought the paint with my own money.

I decided to paint an album cover on each wall. The first wall I painted I went the easy route. I painted the album cover from "Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd. It turned real nice, but again it wasn't a real challenge.

For the second wall I decided to go the easy route again. I painted the album cover from "Never Mind the Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols" by The Sex Pistols. It also turned out good, but again if you seen the cover you know it was easy to paint.

I , then decided to try something more challenging so I bought some white paint, and no I didn't paint "The White Album" by The Beatles. I used vthe white paint to paint over the Sex Pistols, and tried the album cover from "Toys in the Attic" by Aerosmith. It turned out really well, despite using almost all the white paint fixing mistakes. It took me forever, but I was really happy with it. I went on and ended up painting the other 2 walls with album covers, too.

So that's why "Toys in the Attic" is my favorite album cover. What is your favorite? And remember, it's not which one you think is the best but which one is your absolute favorite, and if you have a reason why I'll sure like to hear it.

My parents had it, and for some strange reason I stare at the cover a lot.

I painted my walls with Album Covers - The Beatles White Album!

Days of Future Passed - Moody Blues.  It was very outrageous (as was the music) for its time

That may have been a challenge trying to paint that one. I would have put on my fancy white pajamas, and spent all evening trying to finish but wouldn't have come close. Yes, I would have spent "nights in white satin, never reaching the end".

no GROANS please
