And damn if it didn't hurt

It must've been the way I slept, but I woke up this morning with a big stiff one. Maybe it was the way I had the pillows last night. I couldn't even turn, everytime I did I felt pain. A sharp pain. I haven't felt pain from it being stiff in a long time.

My GF even offered to massage it for me, but I turned her down. Yes, guys, I turned her down. Getting a massage for a stiff NECK does not help. It actually hurts. My neck was so sore. Maybe I slept with the pillows too high. I couldn't even turn my head to the left. It's been awhile since that's happened. I can't remember when the last time it was stiff.

Damn, that last sentence didn't sound right.

My stiff neck didn't really bother me as the day wore on, the only time it really affected me is when I tried to do my favorite pastime - girl watching. Being I live in a city that has an abundance of beautiful women everywhere my neck got quite the workout today.

While we were in the car coming home from Barnes & Noble, my GF asked me how my neck was, I told her it still hurt. She asked me where, I told her the left side.She started massaging the hell out of the back of my neck. Not the part that hurt (the left side) but the back of my neck. Being she was in the passenger seat looking at me and I was driving looking straight ahead I suppose you could technically say she massage the "left side" of my neck from her perspective.

Well after looking at all those attractive women and then getting it massaged by my GF, I still was stiff when I got home.

Damn, that didn't sound right either.

Oh well I hope my neck is feeling better tomorrow.

Get a memory foam pillow. A bit of a splurge in the $20 range but imho totally worth it. I think they may even be on sale at Target this week.

As for the current stiff one, get a hand towel and wet it iwth the hottest water you can stand.  And put that on  it.  And repeat when the towel cools off.  It will help with the stiff neck.

When I get stiff, { a very rare event these days} I have colleen massage some soothing tiger balm into my stiffness, after a moment the tiger balm starts to heat my stiffie up, soon the release of my stiffness becomes so satisfying I almost moan in pleasure. I sure like it when my stiffness becomes soft and pliable again. {wide eyed look}

---Get a memory foam pillow.---

I always wanted one of those. I love pillows. I used to sleep with 10 pillows I'm down to 4 now.

I, for one, always prefered heat over cold. Lots of people always suggest putting ice pack on it. Thanks, Doc.

Sounds like you're a lucky man to have that tiger balm. I already knew you were lucky to have Colleen.

Your pun is too punny! Haha...I had to go there....I know, it was your neck.....my husband had one which lasted a whole two weeks. It took me to figure out that it's the pillows he uses, too many and too high while watching telly and then falls asleep in the same position one time too many! Tiger balm is a good aid and usually works!

Thanks, FS

I had the same problem as your husband. Pillows. Too many and too high. Sounds like when I was in high school, I either had one "too many" or was "too high".
